Drop-in clinic

From the 1st November 2014 the Practice is introducing a ‘Drop-In Clinic’. This clinic is designed to mirror the service provided by the Minor Injuries Unit on the ground floor of the Hospital. Our drop-in clinic is available Monday – Friday during Surgery hours and is accessed by either making an appointment over the telephone or simply presenting at reception without an appointment. We hope that patients will consider using this service before accessing Minor Injuries with the aim of reducing waiting times into A&E for the future.

We can treat the following ailments at our drop-in clinic:

  • Sprains & Strains
  • Wound Infections
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • minor cuts and bruises
  • Insect & animal bites
  • Injuries to back / shoulder / chest
  • Infections and rashes
  • BP Checks
  • Fractures & lacerations
  • Emergency contraception
  • Stomach pain
  • Hayfever
  • Sutures and suture removal
  • Dressing care
